Introduction
Experience can be setup to send emails directly to your customers and suppliers. Documents (Invoices, Receipts, Statements, Renewal Notices, etc) can be sent after posting or when doing inquiries directly from your email account.
Email settings are setup in 2 places, one for generic emails and a specific one for Insurance:
- Company Controls
- Insurance Module Controls
Setup Email under Company Controls
Go to Company Controls and select the Email Settings tab.
Item | Description |

SMTP Server | Email SMTP name Example smtp.gmail.com or smtp.office365.com |
SMTP Port | Email SMTP Port Example 465 or 587 for Gmail, and 25 for Microsoft Hosted Exchange |
Use SSL | Set to True for Gmail and Microsoft Hosted Exchange |
Pause | This setting is used when sending emails in bulk. It is suggested to pause (minimum of 5 seconds) between one email and another to avoid been listed as a spam server. |
Username | Email mailbox username from which all emails will be sent. Forwarding email addresses cannot be used. |
Password | Email mailbox password. Note: Use App Password if MFA is setup on the mailbox |
Email From | Normally this is the same as Email Username |
Display Name | Name to be displayed in the Email |
Email CC | CC all emails to this email address |
EMail BCC | BCC all emails to this email address |
Once the settings are updated, test it out using the Test email section by sending a test email to your email address.
Copy settings will copy email settings from Company Controls to Insurance Module Controls.
Setup Email under Insurance Module Controls
If you wish to use a different email to send Insurance Documents, then browse to Insurance -> Setup -> Module Controls.
Follow the steps above to setup a different email account.
